The second part of my storyboard. Now that I have my storyboard I will begin making films based on the 'Journey' theme around MK building floors two and three as well as the outside, and then will edit the film on Final Cut Pro.

After continuing further research into other inspiring films like Baraka, I am now ready to plan the story board for film. I sketched some rough thumbnails and finally put together a storyboard, here is the first part of my storyboard.

I am fascinated by the film Sin City with its neo-noir and graphic comic themes, it relies on the interesting camera angles and shots for its unique effect whilst being completely black and white but with certain bold colours showing through such as bright red which is expressed in the red lights, red lipstick, blood etc. as well as bright yellow and green. I love this shot from the film taken above a cell- the cell bars create a wonderful abstract image. I tried to replicate this style in my own shot next to it- a film still I took at the top of the staircase of the MK building on the sixth and seventh floors. It really draws the viewer into the image and film.

I have begun research on some film productions that I find will be useful in gathering ideas and inspiration from the way they are produced in a non-conventional way, such as different camera shot angles, abstract shots and focus, and the use of neo-noir theme instead of colour too..

I have been given a new assignment which is to create a short movie promoting the University of Wolverhampton, which I am now brainstorming on new ideas for.

after developing my ideas further and improving the typography and layout, here is my final poster design for this assignment.
